Oregon National Guard soldiers have spent considerable time deployed in war theaters during the Bush Presidency. Their presence is valued in this place, as most are professionals with secondary skills that are highly useful toward the ultimate goal of the war effort. Soldiers who perform these missions outside the base are known as Army Security Forces or Secfor soldiers.
