Giving the impression of a castle tower, this closed down prison facility was most recently operated by the Taliban. They murdered their political enemies frequently by firing squad near a wall and tree in front of the building. Before the Taliban, Communists used the prison for the same purpose. Today Jalalabad prison is empty.
